Crevet Repair Clamps provide a quick and permanent solution for the repair of pressure
and non-pressure pipes. The total range of clamps is manufactured from 316 stainless steel making them ideally
suitable for above and below ground repairs and in areas where harsh conditions prevail. The clamps are designed
to wrap around the affected pipe, making removal of the damaged section unnecessary. Sealing gaskets are available standard in SBR or Nitrile rubber. Nitrile rubber is regarded by the Gas industry as the rubber most suited for gas repairs. Repair clamps come in many styles: half clamps; full circle single-part; full circle double-part; full circle three and four multi-part. |

| MANUFACTURED TO AS-4181 PRESSURE RATING All styles of clamps have a pressure rating of 1.6Mpa. SELECTION OF THE CORRECT CLAMP It is important that the correct clamp be selected for the repair. The size range and clamp width are critical when selecting the appropriate repair clamp. For further details refer to the appropriate data sheet. Clamp coverage over each end of the damaged section also needs to be considered. Refer to Table 1. The condition of the damaged pipe is critical to making a good repair. The pipe surface must be clean and free of dirt, grit and rust, and as smooth as possible. If the pipe surface is badly pitted or uneven it will require extra preparation. |

| INSTALLATION Step 1 All nuts on the clamp to be fully loosened but do not remove from the threaded stud. Slide the locking plate back to the nuts and open the clamp. Step 2 Lubricate the rubber mat with an approved pipe lubricant. Step 3 Position the clamp centrally over the damaged area and ensure that no foreign matter has contaminated the mating surfaces. Step 4 Wrap the clamp around the pipe and lock into position with the locking plate. Spin the nuts down making sure the clamp has not moved from the desired position on the damaged pipe. Step 5 Tighten the nuts down to the recommended torque as indicated on the specification and installation instructions supplied with each item.
