D.I. Socket Fittings

DESCRIPTION: The D.I. Socket range of fittings manufactured and distributed by Crevet, has been designed specifically for use with Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, Asbestos cement and GRP pipelines. The D.I. Socket range of fittings is manufactured from Ductile Iron in accordance with AS/NZS2280. D.I. Socket fittings have been the socket profile used by most manufacturers of cast and ductile iron pipes to date.

The socket utilises a dual hardness compression seal retained in the ring groove by means of a cast ridge to which the seal seats. The D.I. Socket range of fittings is protected internally against corrosion by means of a revolutionary system known as DUOCOAT. This coating system, developed by the manufacturing division of Crevet, gives the waterway of the fitting a protective coating of Fusion Bonded Epoxy with the external surface of the product receiving a bitumen based seal. This DUOCOAT system gives the product added protection to the internal surfaces of the fitting as well as significantly improved hydraulic performance with an increased nominal bore and smooth textured finish.
