Data Sheet: Maxiflo 2000 Hydrant

DESCRIPTION:
The Maxiflo 2000 spring hydrant is an underground hydrant designed and manufactured in accordance with Australian Standard AS3952.
The Maxiflo 2000 hydrant is the standard configuration hydrant used predominantly in Queensland and New South Wales with Victoria moving towards an increased use.
The Maxiflo 2000 spring hydrant has been developed to replace the traditional ball type underground hydrant.
The Maxiflo 2000 spring hydrant relies on the action of a mushroom valve, assisted by a spring coil, inside the hydrant body to maintain a seal with internal positive and negative head situations.
The Maxiflo 2000 spring hydrant is actuated by the use of a specifically designed standpipe which incorporates a threaded spindle and handle which depresses the mushroom and spring to facilitate flow.

COATING INFORMATION:
Maxiflo 2000 spring hydrant is coated with a thermal bonded polymeric coating system in accordance with AS4158. This standard specifies a minimum film thickness and performance characteristic to ensure continuity in the coating and subsequent product. The following table identifies the critical coating thickness requirements of AS4158 for both types of standard thermal coating system in use in the Australian water industry. Bituminous coated version also available.
