
1. Sleeving is supplied perforated at 6.1 metre lengths for easy tear-off. Remove single sleeve from roll. |

2. Lift pipe with full webbing sling and draw sleeve over spigot end. |

3. Locate sleeve end behind second witness mark, pull sleeve against pipe barrel and fold surplus across
crown of pipe. Seal sleeve ends to pipe with three bands of overlapping tape. Secure fold at one metre intervals,
working towards sling. |

4. Lower pipe onto sand bags and firmly draw bunched sleeve towards socket. Closely warp remaining length
of sleeve, securing barrel fold with circumferential tape at 1 metre intervals. |

5. Ensure a suitable depression has been made in bedding at joint to facilitate final overlap and sealing
of sleeve. Lower pipe into trench and locate spigot in preceding socket. barrel fold should be on crown of pipe. |

6. Complete joint assembly. Draw bunched sleeve from behind socket of preceding
pipe over joint onto sleeved barrel of pipe. Take care to avoid scooping backfill into sleevingwhen drawing across
bedding depression. Work and secure barrel of last pipe. Ensure sleeving closely follows contour of joint. |
