SIV FERRULE

The SIV self inserting valve is designed for small volume under-pressure tapping.
It is screwed into a tapping saddle making sure that the feed nut is completely unscrewed from the gland bonnet
allowing the cutter to be in its fully retracted position. |

The SIV to poly ferrule is the same as above together with an integral PE fitting for direct connection to polyethylene
pipe without the use of an adaptor.
It is supplied complete with wedging ring, nut and thimble for this purpose.
Both these ferrules are only available in 20 and 25mm sizes. For other sizes underpressure it is necessary to use
the TPFNR range. |
| Engage a ratchet spanner on the square spindle top and rotate clockwise
while screwing down the feed with another spanner. Care must be taken not to feed the cutter too fast otherwise
the cutter will be damaged. Immediately the cutter pierces the pipe water her rotating the feed will close the
unscrew the feed approx. 10 turns |

TPFNR BONNET FERRULE
Size
The TPFNR bonnet ferrule is the same as the TPFNR ferrules but incorporates a standard screw down bonnet top for
key operating from above ground through a path cock cover.
The outlet is used in conjunction with the Rapid Tap machine for 20 and 25mm ferrules, and Major Tap for 32, 40
and 50mm ferrules.

TPFNR FERRULE
Size
The TPFNR ferrule is gunmetal for underpressure tapping. It incorporates a non-return gunmetal jumper valve and
a high density polyethylene tapered plug.
The outlet is a union thread and suits all ferrule bends and ferrule adaptors.
The ferrule is used in conjunction with the Rapid Tap machine, for 20 and 25mm ferrules, and the Major Tap for
32, 40 and 50mm ferrules.
